So I always think of short little stories or thoughts I wanna blog about but sometimes feel stupid blogging about some memory that might of happened 2 years ago or things I want in life,etc...So I thought Wishful Wednesday will hopefully make me always post at least once a week and allow a little freedom in writing whatever the heck I feel like. Although that's what a blog is for anyways! But just so y'all don't think I'm crazy I guess talking about something random or old...sooo...I"m starting a Wishful Wednesday! We'll see what will come of this...haha!
Today I'm wishing for a few things...one to be back at the Pink Palace (of course) but also to be back with the great people I worked with this summer. I've blogged before about the Australian guest guys a lot but there was one Aussie girl I worked with who I just adored, named Lauren but everybody calls her Lozz. She was kinda my right hand girl, we goofed off together, split the money for the front desk, cried about life together, gossiped about every boy that walked in the door, and laughed until I almost burst! Another thing Lozz and I did was attempt to recreate the other ones voices...now of course I miserably failed at that b/c Australian voices are near impossible to do, we burned at least a billion calories when I attempted this throughout 4 months. But Lozz on the other hand, nailed the Southern accent! She could fool anyone! So below I've attached a video of her giving a lil bit of this impersonation! That's another thing I wished I had done...take more video of moments and friends like this from this summer! So on this Wishful Wednesday I wish for a good belly laugh with my Lozzeralla!!! However, she's in Scotland now so this will have to do! Miss you Lozz!!! This video always makes me laugh...i have another good one to come later maybe!

Life List...just beginning...
So I'm not going to lie, since I've been home life's been no breeze. Yeah sure I'm unemployed, can sleep late and have time on my hands. However, even this cheery girl gets down when facing reality, especially living in B'ham and feeling 2 or 3 steps behind in life's steps (good job, marriage, kids,etc..). So naturally I've been thinking about all the things I still want to do in life. The other night I was really down, tears flowing...u-g-l-y! (yes, there was wine involved, ha!) I had some talks with a few friends that helped. And then a guy that I met this summer IMed me. He lives in NYC and we chat occassionally online, so after a few minutes of my friends and him cheering me up, I got a better grip on my head. And I thought about that fact that I was talking to some guy I never would've known existed had I not spent the summer in Greece. And I got to thinking about all the things I have done!!! Tears dried...happy Brandi here to present you with the things I'm proud of myself for accomplishing, paying for, experiencing....So this list is not only for me but also for you out there that might have a day when you feel like you're life's a bore and things don't seem to be going your way...write down the things that have. (sorry if it comes off in any way as bragging)

2)Bought and paid for my car in full

Father know best...or does he?
So as many of you know I go to church every Sunday (well almost every sunday) with my family at the church I grew up going to. We have a great preacher and I get to see my family for the week so it's nice. We usually go to eat afterwards too. But lately I'm beginning to only get annoyed by this b/c it just gives my father a chance to bring up the fact that I don't have a job. He doesn't mean it in a mean way of course but it's just always a weekly nudge of "hey you need to get a job, like as in yesterday". My father is an engineer, who was blessed to have a job waiting on him when he graduated Auburn and stayed with the company for about 25 years, moving up and succeeding, thankfully. But sadly, I didn't receive his math and science brain and have a PR degree, which is not so generous with the job avaliablity or salary.
But it's like he doesn't think I'm looking for a job, like I'm just twiddling my thumbs and wishing on a star for a job. And it's just sooooo annoying! Not to mention that I'm incredibly stubborn and independent, which factors in the fact that I don't want his help. I figured when I told him I was staying in Greece for the summer he would flip, however, he didn't and said, " i trust you Brandi". Well, so if only he'd apply that motto now! Gosh, just trust me, and so what if I don't get a job, you're still gonna let me come back into your house and live! (or at least mom will force you to) Anyhow, I just had to vent. Maybe this is God's way of wanting me to go to a new church, ha! But either way, I just pray my dad has enough patience for my daily annoyingly, painful, not fun at all job search!!! ahhhhhh!!!!!

Halloween Day of Festivities!!!

Ok so I think I might have had one of the best Halloween's I've had in a long time. As many of you might know, I love dressing up in any form of costume, mostly any time of the year! ha! I get a small thrill from homemade costumes, (they just seem more legit, I believe) so I got a $3 basketball jersey from Goodwill, some wristbands, tall socks and handmade a donut. Yes, a donut my friends...friday night was interesting at my house watching me try to figure out the felt, stuffing and sprinkles all without sewing abilities! LOL!!! Get it yet...DUNKIN' DONUT!!!!
So when my friend Kyle wanted to do a day of Halloween fun I was super pumped. Most the gang that went w/ us consisted of friends that I've met via my kickball team I was on before I left for Greece. They all bonded while I was gone so I'm now squeezing back into their fun. The day started out by us wearing our costumes to Billy's in Mtn Brook for the early Auburn game. Miraculously that turned out well for the Tigers! YAY! After the win, we headed to bowling...all still in costumes mind you. Good ole Brunswick on 280 had the awesome "cosmic bowling" going on! YAY! Everything glowing and in black lights! HOLLA!!! All the normal people there thought we were crazy and needless to say the place pretty much cleared out by the time we finished our 2 games! The first round I did awesome...celebrating my strikes by doing the splits and dropping my donut as I waddled up to knock the pins down. However, my 126 first game went downhill to a pitiful 77 second game...I will definitely be blaming the beer intake for that downfall!
Finally we all headed to the Lakeview area to get an early start to the block party, which was actually really fun. We hung out in On Tap for a while before and then outside it was super fun, if only it had been like 10 degrees warmer it would have been the perfect Halloween. I even got chosen by the slutty Miller Lite girls for the costume contest! Sadly, Bob Ross dominated...everyone seriously loves a big fro Bob Ross get up! But it was fun no matter what! Overall, just a great fun, adult Halloween. Even though I spent way, way too much money for this day of fun (anyone wanna help me pay my rent this week?) I wouldn't take it back. It was one of those days when I was 100% HAPPY to be single, with no kids and in my late twenties!!!!!!!
